EASTER 2027 - DATES TO BE CONFIRMED

Shaw Cross will welcome our French rugby league friends from JAYET to Dewsbury during Easter 2027.

The visiting age groups, fixtures and full programme will be published once arrangements have been confirmed.

The visit is expected to include:

- Rugby league matches
- Training and club activities
- Cultural and educational visits
- Social events
- Time with host families
- A formal club welcome
- Presentation and celebration events

HOSTING FAMILIES NEEDED

The success of the exchange depends on Shaw Cross families opening their homes to visiting players.

Families interested in hosting will receive detailed information about the programme, safeguarding arrangements, transport, daily activities and the responsibilities involved.

Where possible, players who host in 2027 may be matched with the same French player when Shaw Cross next travels to France. This will depend on age groups, availability and the final touring arrangements.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

French junior rugby league commonly uses calendar-year age groups running from January to December. This can differ from the age group used by an English team.

Parents may therefore be asked to confirm whether their child turns a particular age during 2027. Final eligibility will be confirmed once the visiting French squads and fixtures are agreed.
