This week England selected a squad for the Community Lions, there were lots of fantastic young athletes that attended the training sessions, and selecting a squad from those players that trained must have been very difficult.

Shaw Cross Sharks had three players selected; Mason Leaf, MJ Morris and Usman Rafi, however, Usman couldn't commit to the dates given due to other pre planed commitments. This means Mason Leaf and MJ Morris will be going forward with the England 16's Community England Lions.

As a club we would just like to thank the players, parents, volunteers and special mention to the coaches of these lads; to develop England standard players from our club where all coaches are volunteers with limited resources is just fantastic. The club are very proud of everyone involved with this great achievement. We would also like to congratulate the lads that got to the trials, that's not the end for you, it's the beginning. To get there and have the opportunity is fantastic and will only give you more experience for the next trials, just keep working hard, and your time will come.
