We had four of our Under 16 Reds over to Lancashire for the first England training session, with one of them invited back for the second session.
Benjamin Cockell, Oliver Moore, Rian McDaid and Jack Beckett were invited for the first England training session; all four have thoroughly deserved this opportunity with their hard work and determination, constantly improving week on week and progressing nicely within the Shaw Cross junior system.
Oliver Moore was invited back to the second session after impressing on the day, and we look forward to seeing how far Oliver can go, he's a great kid with lots of potential.
As for the lads that didn't get invited back, Benjamin, Rian and Jack, this is just the beginning! It's been a great experience and given you a great insight into how these sessions work, what is expected and what you need to improve on - keep working hard lads, the next opportunity could just be round the corner.
All at the club are extremely proud of these achievements, keep working hard boys and I'm sure you will be successful in the future, it's still very early days. A big well done to the coaches, volunteers and parents who give up so much time and effort on a weekly basis for the development of these kids.
