
Shaw Cross Sharks celebrated two cup victories at Batley Bulldogs on Wednesday 16 September 2026, with three of our teams competing in the Heavy Woollen finals.
U13s James Flanagan Cup
Batley ARLFC 0–58 Shaw Cross Sharks
The Under 13s lifted the James Flanagan Cup after scoring eleven tries and kicking seven conversions.

R. Hill received the U13 Player of the Match award, presented by Mick Turner. Congratulations to the lads on a fantastic cup win, and well done to Batley ARLFC on reaching the final.
U16s Douglas Hird Cup
Shaw Cross Sharks Reds 4–34 Shaw Cross Sharks Black
The Douglas Hird Cup final was an all-Shaw Cross occasion, with Sharks Black taking the trophy after a 34–4 victory over Sharks Reds.

Sharks Reds try: B. Cockell.
M. Morris received the U16 Player of the Match award, presented by Mick Turner. Congratulations to Sharks Black on winning the cup and to both U16 teams for earning their places in the final.
A proud night for Shaw Cross
Congratulations to all three Shaw Cross teams for reaching their finals. Well done to all the lads who represented the club and to everyone involved in getting them there.
