The club has been victim to many levels of vandalism in the last year and it has to STOP. As a community club running off volunteers, sponsorship, members and our fans, this is something we simply cannot sustain and have not budgeted for. The costs to put things right from vandalism is rocketing and putting more pressure on both volunteers and the purse strings - we simply don’t have deep enough pockets to keep putting these things back as they should be.
We are told by many that some of the kids causing the damage are indeed our own members, this at the moment cannot be proven, so please take this message as a notice to have a word with your child.
We are putting systems in place to find the people responsible for causing the damage and we WILL be pursuing the individuals to cover costs of putting these things right. We feel very strongly about this as a club. Many volunteers work hard to give the children a safe place to train, play and enjoy sport.
Please RESPECT the club and facilities and make sure we have a safe environment for all children.
In the last couple of months alone we have had to deal with several issues, all of which are costing money we need to raise to put right.
If you see anyone causing damage please, you MUST report this so we can put a stop to it.
The current list of damage is as follows:
- Steps / Flags outside toilets smashed and thrown around the field
- Container locks smashed off
- Containers damaged
- Dug out roofs been smashed and thrown over the pitches
- Female toilet handle snapped off and unable to open
We are committed as a club to providing the best possible facilities for everyone but this is proving difficult if we’ve to keep fixing things that were once in perfect condition!
